Membrane treatment of high concentration ammonia nitrogen wastewater
Classification:
Product Description
Project Background
This project focuses on treating high-concentration ammonia-nitrogen wastewater, with an influent flow rate of 8.4m³/h and an ammonia-nitrogen concentration of 6000 mg/L. To ensure stable system performance, we have set strict influent water quality requirements, including pH, temperature, surface tension, hardness, and turbidity, ensuring optimal conditions for membrane operation.
Treatment Objective
The main goal of this system is to reduce ammonia-nitrogen concentration, lowering it from 6000 mg/L to 30 mg/L, meeting discharge or reuse standards.
Process Flow
The entire treatment process is as follows:
• Step 1: Pre-Treatment
Raw wastewater first passes through a security filter to remove suspended solids, oils, and other impurities, improving system stability.
• Step 2: Influent Conditioning
The pre-treated wastewater is pumped into the raw water tank, where pH adjustment is performed to enhance ammonia removal efficiency.
• Step 3: PTFE Ammonia Stripping Membrane System
The conditioned wastewater enters the PTFE ammonia stripping membrane system, where selective membrane permeation efficiently removes ammonia-nitrogen.
• Step 4: Treated Water Collection
The treated water is discharged into a product water tank/pool, where it can be reused or further processed.
On-Site Performance
During actual operation, our PTFE ammonia stripping membrane system demonstrated stable performance, achieving efficient ammonia removal while operating 24 hours continuously. We optimized temperature control (40-45°C) and pH adjustment (>11.5) to ensure the best ammonia removal efficiency.
Conclusion
This project successfully applies PTFE ammonia stripping membrane technology, not only effectively removing ammonia-nitrogen but also maintaining low energy consumption and high efficiency. This solution is ideal for industries such as chemical manufacturing, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and landfill leachate treatment, providing a cost-effective and highly efficient approach to ammonia-nitrogen wastewater treatment.
