How to solve the pollution problem of deamination membrane(Nitrogen Removal Membrane /Ammonia Removal Membrane)?

The water quality of most ammonia nitrogen wastewater is very complex. Wastewater contains many dissolved organic matter, sulfide, calcium and magnesium ions, heavy metal ions, etc. Complex water quality can easily cause the membrane contactor to be contaminated.
Membrane fouling refers to the phenomenon that certain components in the absorbent or the treated sewage are deposited on the membrane surface or in the membrane pores, or undergo physical and chemical reactions with the membrane material, causing the membrane to lose its hydrophobic properties or the membrane pores to be clogged.
Membrane fouling includes the following reasons:

  1. The membrane material has poor hydrophobicity and is easily hydrophilic and loses its mass transfer function;

  2. The chemical properties of membrane materials are unstable (such as PVDF, PP materials). They are in contact with absorbents and sewage for a long time and undergo physical and chemical reactions, causing the materials to become hydrophilic and lose mass transfer performance;

  3. Some components in the absorbent have a relatively strong affinity with the membrane material (such as calcium sulfate deposition, oil sludge, etc.), and their adsorption on the membrane surface and membrane pores causes the membrane material to lose its intrinsic function;

  4. After entering the membrane contactor system, high-concentration organic substances such as alcohols, carboxylic acids, and benzene will infiltrate the membrane material in a short period of time, causing system paralysis.

  5. During the membrane cleaning process, the cleaning agent contains impurities (such as rust, particles, etc.), which are adsorbed to the membrane surface and contaminate the membrane material.
