There are several factors that can affect the efficiency of removing ammonia nitrogen from water. One such factor is the presence of excessive organic matter, which can have a negative impact on the removal process. In addition, low temperatures and insufficient pH values can also affect the removal rate. Typically, when the wastewater temperature falls within the range of 30-45 degrees Celsius, the pH value is maintained above 11.8, and the standard flow rate is 10 liters per square meter of membrane area, then single-stage membrane contactor can achieve a removal rate of 60-90% for ammonia nitrogen.
